CEO- Microfinance Company

Our client is a fast growing agency overseeing microfinance banks and institutions. As Chief Executive Officer of this ambitious Microfinance Company, you have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and sustainable development of the business. As such, you will have overall responsibility for the business performance during and ensure its development into a profitable, well-balanced and diversified company.
Within the company, you will play a key role in strategic planning, operational and human resources management, and oversight of internal control. Externally, as the principal spokesperson, you will develop the company’s corporate image, representing the company to the relevant regulatory bodies and financial industry leaders and liaising with strategic partners to raise funds and build relationships.
Our ideal candidate will have preferably:
• Bachelor’s degree or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, or a master’s degree in finance or development economics and have a minimum of 7-10 years experience in the financial services industry.
• Minimum of 7+ years progressive leadership responsibility in a Banking, Savings & Loan, and/or Microfinance organization, with a minimum of 5+ years in an executive leadership capacity and or senior management level
• be able to demonstrate a successful track record in managing an MFI (Micro finance Institutions) or retail credit institution, and/or in the provision of advisory services to MFI’s
• Must have practical knowledge of microfinance products and services, ideally in an emerging market.
